The business partnered with Destination Pet, a national pet services company, to open the clinic inside the pet resort business, according to a news release.
The mini-clinic will offer preventative care for dogs and cats in an environment that is less stressful than an animal hospital, according to the release. The business is similar to CVS’s MinuteClinic concept, the release stated. Vetted Founder and CEO Maya Shaposhnik Cadena referred to the clinic as “the first line of defense” for pet health and wellness.
The clinic will offer services including:
- Wellness checks and checkups
- Vaccinations
- Heartworm tests
- Consultations on conditions such as allergies and anxiety
- Care for mild illnesses
The business will also work to refer patients requiring additional care to local veterinary hospitals, emergency rooms and specialists, the release stated.
A grand opening event is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. June 6, and attendees can enjoy refreshments and giveaways. The free event will also include tours of the facility and a caricature artist creating artwork of pets and their owners, according to the event website.
