The people who foster dogs are absolute angels on earth. Not only do they help keep shelter pups socialized, but they also help dogs with kennel stress or who have had a rough go at life learn how to dog again.
Just like this precious Pit Bull mix who isn’t quite sure exactly how to play with dog toys. It’s just so sweetly heartbreaking he isn’t quite sure what to make of toys.
The adorable video was shared by the TikTok account for @Simsits and it has users all up in their feelings.One person commented, “It’s okay she doesn’t know what to do with toys… the little toy baguette in her mouth brings her some level of comfort. She’s the cutest potato.” Another person added, “She’s self-soothing with them.”

Someone else sweetly replied, “She brings me so much joy in her discovery of what it’s like to be loved and how to be a happy pup!”
The video says, “Our foster dog has just discovered toys. She doesn’t really know what to do with them… but she appreciates them anyway.”
It’s just so sweet how precious Poutine is just cuddling with them. She’s just an angel. I’m sure spending more time in foster home around other dogs will teach her how to play, but until then it’s just so touching watching her.
Great Reasons to Foster a Shelter Dog

You’ll be saving a life. Fostering a dog provides temporary shelter and care for a homeless or abandoned animal, giving them a chance to thrive in a home away from the shelter, thus freeing up space for another pup-in-need. By fostering, you directly contribute to saving lives and reducing overcrowding in animal shelters.
You’ll help socialize a dog. Dogs that are in shelters don’t get enough interaction with humans as they need to, no matter how fantastic the shelter is. Shelters do their best, but there isn’t enough time or manpower to give every dog the attention they deserve. Welcoming a shelter dog into your home, even temporarily, gives them the affection and care they need to help reduce kennel stress.
The benefits of fostering just don’t apply to these dogs either, fostering will give you so much joy knowing that you not only gave a dog some time out from the shelter with all the love and care they deserve, but you also helped prepare them to go to their forever home.
