Laughter at How Owner Gets Revenge on Noisy Dog: ‘Not Amused’

Revenge is sweet for this pet owner, who gave her dog a taste of his own medicine in a hilarious video.

The TikTok clip shared to an account dedicated to two Havanese dogs, @gizmo_twixx, shows one of them lying in his teepee bed. He appears to have an angry expression on his face.

The video was paired with a noise mimicking the sound of a dog toy. The text layered over the footage explains: “Showing my dog how it feels to wake up to the sound of squeaky toys while you’re trying to sleep.”

So far, the clip has amassed over 655,000 views and more than 82,000 likes.

The sound of a squeaky toy can be annoying for humans, especially when they’re trying to sleep. But noisy, fun toys can bring canines a lot of joy.

The American Kennel Club (AKC) says toys that make a high-pitched sound imitate prey. Owners are advised against leaving these types of toys with their dog while unsupervised as ingesting a squeaker can cause serious complications. Canines may even need surgery to remove it.

The AKC recommends storing some toys in a box and only allowing the dog to play with them when you are present, especially if the toys have real fur on them or are very soft. This will keep your pet safe and increase the lifespan of the toy.

So far, the clip shared on November 17 has racked up over 950 comments.

One user said: “He’s like can you not.”

“He’s like. So you wanna be petty this morning. OK. Wait till you put your shoes on,” said another.

Another user said: “That’s a plotting face if I’ve ever seen one lol so cute!”

“If looks could kill,” said another.

Another added: “He is like ‘…and today I choose violence’.”

The owner is joking, according to the caption clips, but clearly the dog is not impressed. It turns out that some dogs prefer beauty sleep more than you might think. Newsweek has previously published a number of articles about dogs who become enraged when they are woken up.

Previously, a senior dog called Ralph left the internet in stitches when he was woken up too early. And he isn’t the only one, as a golden retriever’s reaction was also caught on camera—he was furious when woken up seven minutes early.
