Cats need something to keep themselves busy throughout the day. Maybe they’re tired of their scratching post — or maybe the toy mouse just isn’t cutting it anymore. Well have no fear. You cats will love a new board game made just for them. And they’ll really like the game’s two furry spokescats.

This is definitely the cat toy for people who love board games. And it seems like it would be a ton of fun.

The two Maine Coon Cats, Spaghetti and Jet, debuted their new game in an adorable video on TikTok. The Maine Coons explained the game was based on the popular Binho boards. The cats really wanted a Binho board, but they knew that Binho boards were a bit pricey. So they “made” one of their own.

They called their creation the Catho board. It’s slightly bigger so that cats themselves can use it. They can even rest on the board if need be — although that might destroy the “stadium,” so be forewarned.

Best Toys for Cats

Sadly, the Catho board won’t be available for the rest of us to buy anytime soon. But if you’re looking for a way to keep your cats occupied there are other toys and games that are readily available.

Just like dogs, cats need toys for mental and physical stimulation. It can help them release energy. Some people use toys and games as a source of exercise for their pets too. And of course, it’ll keep them busy for a few hours, which is a huge plus.

For cats it’s important to look for toys made of wool, fleece, fur, or plastic. They’ll also like toys that light up, make sounds, or move around. It’s true what they say, cats really do love catnip. So a toy with catnip inside is also a huge win. In fact, cats who are picky with what kind of toys they’ll play with will often reach for a catnip toy.

Dogs are known for their love of tennis balls, but cats love balls too. Small balls, like ping pong balls, allow cats to unleash their natural prey drive. They’ll pounce and stalk the balls just like they would a mouse or bird. Similarly, little plushies of critters will allow them to use their prey drive too.

Wand toys can get your cat up and moving (and you too). These toys do require you to lead your cat around while they chase you, but what wouldn’t you do to give our pets a few hours of fun?
