Cats, dogs, and other beloved pets of Hamilton will want to urge their owners to take them to a special market happening in Ancaster this weekend.
The aptly-named Pet Lovers’ Market takes place on Saturday, December 2nd from 10 am to 4 pm at Ancaster Fairgrounds. bringing along dozens of diverse local and regional vendors with pet-themed products.
Pet food and treats, toys, photography services, groomers, dog walkers, magazines, clothing items, accessories, home décor, leashes, wellness products, and so much more will be available at the array of booths, many of which favour dogs but also feature products for cats and other furry friends.
Best of all, human visitors are welcomed to bring their well-behaved pets along to enjoy the market and hand-pick (or paw-pick) their favourite vendors and products themselves.
Event organizer Jackie Fenton is quick to express her excitement for the Pet Lovers’ Market as a way of connecting local pet owners with small businesses and services who love animals just as much.
“I can’t name a vendor that I’m most excited about, I love them all and they all bring something special to the show from local groomers, trainers, and experts in nutrition to talented makers who create everything possible for pets and the people who love them,” says Fenton.
Live music will be kicking off at 10:30 am to help keep things lively at the market, and pet owners will also have their own treats to enjoy in the form of snack and coffee vendors.
It’s not often Hamilton gets holiday markets to be enjoyed equally by those on two and four legs, and the Pet Lovers’ Market promises plenty to explore.
“It provides a platform for local pet-related businesses to showcase their products and services to their community,” adds Fenton.
“It also brings together pet owners, enthusiasts and businesses in a shared space, fostering a sense of community.”
