Pet owners are increasingly buying identification and safety products for their pets, in the wake of the pandemic. This trend is keeping sales of Sleepypod, a pet travel product manufacturer in Pasadena, steady.
Sleepypod offers crash-tested and certified pet carriers and car harnesses for dogs and cats, and other pet care products. The products are designed to keep pets safe and comfortable during travel. They also help reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in pets.
Michael Leung, founder and lead project designer of Sleepypod, told Pet Product News that pet owners were building stronger bonds with their pets through various activities. He also said that cat owners should not be overlooked when pet retailers are building a travel products category.
Pet Product News reported that Leung recommended that pet owners become well-versed about the best products for their pets. He said that multifunctional, high-quality, and safety-tested products were tremendous selling points that elicit customer satisfaction and trust.
Sleepypod launched its Fear Free Happy Homes edition Sleepypod collection last November. The line was created in collaboration with Fear Free, an organization founded by Dr. Marty Becker with a mission to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress in pets.
